Winter is upon us all and with that there can be adjustments to the school day.  Make sure you are connected to Instant Alert so you know when there are any late starts, early dismissals or school cancelations.  If you are not receiving Instant Alert give my secretary Pam and call at 379-4960 and she would be more than happy to help you.

Albert Lea Education Association and District #241 are also seeking nomination for the 2010-2011 Teacher of the Year.  Public appreciation of teacher contributions is felt deeply in countless homes and communities, but often goes unexpressed.  The purpose of the Teacher of the Year is to express appreciation to the many outstanding men and women in the teaching profession whose expamples serve as an inspiration to teachers and students.  In no way is the teacher to be considered the best teacher in the district, but is representative of the many teachers who daily influence the lives of students.  Anyone is eligible for nomination for Teacher of the Year who is currently teaching in District #241.  Nominees must have completed at least three full school years in our sytem.  Anyone may nominate a teacher for consideraiton by completing a form.  If you are interested in nominating a teacher you may find the form on the district website or stop in to school and pick one up.  Nominations must be received by January 26, 2011.
