Last Thursday evening brought some very "Fancy and Dapper" young ladies and gentlemen to the cafeteria at Hawthorne Elemantary. These children, joined by their parents, came to an evening of fun, learning, and a bit of ice cream pie. Staff members offered ideas on how to share interesting or fancy vocabulary when reading to and with children. The children traded books as well as each child receiving a new book. Then to top of the evening everyone was treated to ice cream pie for a special treat.
Thank you to parents for finding the time for this special evening with your children. I'd also like to thank the great Hawthorne staff who took the time to organize and arrange for this special evening.
